Domain Networking

Welcome to the cre8tool Domain Networking

We are very happy to see that you are interested in using your domain with your new website. To do so there are only a couple changes that need to be made to some specific domain networking types called CNAME and A records. We have found that the best way to handle these changes with the least amount of confusion would be to contact the registrar support for your domain with the information provided below.

  • A record
    • IP Address= 107.22.211.69
  • CNAME record
    • Host= WWW
    • Source= cre8tool.com

Please make sure that any other A records are removed. The only one that should be on your account is the one provided. If you need further assistance from one of our agents you can contact them by calling 1-877-919-9187.

What is a CNAME record?

A CNAME record (also known as 'host records') is an abbreviation for Canonical Name record and is a type of resource record in the Domain Name System (DNS) used to specify that a domain name uses the IP addresses of another domain, the "canonical" domain. Some registrars will ask for an IP, but the domain "cre8tool.com" is used in it's place.

What is an A and AAAA record?

An A record simply points a domain name or sub domain to an IP address. This is fairly simple and straight forward and some registrars will adamantly request or require that you make changes to the A record instead of just using a CNAME record. The AAAA record is similar to the A record, but it allows you to point the domain to an Ipv6 address. More information on IPv6 can be found at wikipedia.org.
